“Hey, Ugeon.”
“Yes, sir.”
“You need to get married.”
The red brake lights of the car in front suddenly flashed on, and Ugeon instinctively stepped on the brakes.
He had lived a life where no one particularly interfered with him. So his grandfather’s sudden order to get married left him completely dumbfounded.
“You’re telling me to support some orphan or something?”
“Yes.”
“Have you lost your mind?”
“You little punk.”
“Are you having some late-life romance or what?”
“Yeah, you brat.”
His grandfather was insisting he marry a twenty-two-year-old girl—nine years younger than him. The old man had to be out of his mind.
“Y-You’re only here because Grandpa forced you, right? I’m really fine. I may be only twenty-two, but I’m not so young that I don’t understand what’s going on. I know Grandpa must have his reasons, but I think someone should try to stop him.”
“Then you should’ve tried to persuade him before coming here.”
Ignoring the flustered young woman, Ugeon calmly continued his meal.
After all, this kind of absurd situation felt like just another extension of the life he’d always known.
